Macro calorie counting, what they don’t teach in health class or on the nutrition labels.

When you read a traditional nutrition label they are only giving you the calories in that particular food/drink they are not adding the additional calories that carbohydrates, protein, and sometimes fats are counted for.

The point of this is that we are eating way more calories than we need to on a daily bases.  Ex:  To go from 230 pounds to 170 pounds, which I was able to accomplish last year,  I ate about 800 to 1200 calories a day if I was only counting what was on the nutrition label.  However when I added the protein 20 grams and carbs 30 to 60 grams I was eating about 1700 to 2000 calories a day which will maintain a weight of 170 pounds.

Yes alcohol consumption counts as calories as well.

Have you ever noticed that sugar never comes with a percentage???  Sugar is a drug!!!  It too releases dopamine the feel good drug just like heroine, cocaine ect…   There has been studies that sugar is just as addicting as heroine with less side effects, usually when one stops sugar they get headaches, cranky, feel sluggish.  But this does not last for long.  After 4-6 weeks your body adjusts.  Healthy sugars and water found in fruits are better than processed sugar however excess of anything can be bad for anyone.
